AllStar Concrete Coatings was called in to remove the existing VCT flooring and score, stain and polish the concrete to replace the initial pattern in the VCT. School colors were used and score lines were engraved before diamond polishing the concrete floor to achieve the desired look. The floor was ground from 25 grit through 1500 grit diamond polishing steps before a final polish guard sealer was applied.

The site’s general contractor contacted AllStar when trying to find a concrete polishing company in the San Marcos, TX area.  After previous successful projects working together, Allstar was hired to complete the polished concrete San Marcos for the school. A ride-on floor scraper was utilized to quickly and efficiently remove the tile as prep for the polished concrete project. After the initial grinding stages, the pattern was laid out and scored for concrete stain separation and decorative concrete appeal. School colors were then used to create the concrete scoring pattern and the floor was then diamond polished up to the 1500 grit finish you see in the pics.

Once the concrete floor was turned over, the owners and general contractor were pleased with the outcome of the project. Not only was the floor beautiful and easy to clean, but also the maintenance over time will be significantly less than some other decorative flooring alternatives.
