AllStar Concrete Coatings was called in to perform an epoxy floors installation on this screen-printing factory in Austin, Texas. First, the floor was ground to create a profile for the epoxy to adhere to, followed by patching and crack filling. Then, an epoxy primer was applied and allowed to dry before the final two finish coats were installed.  Choosing a pigmented novalac epoxy coating, Allstar then applied two coats to achieve this monolithic look with the durability of a food-grade epoxy floor coating. The results were durable as well as aesthetically pleasing.

Epoxy Floors Austin Project Goals & Outcomes

The site’s general contractor contacted AllStar Concrete Coatings when trying to find an epoxy floor Austin contractor who could install quickly and efficiently on a medium-sized interior project. Previous contractors either couldn’t get the finish consistent enough for the clients or the end result just wasn’t up to their standards. This particular project was 8,000 sq ft of new construction and needed to be something to stand up to spills and wear. We decided to apply a food-grade novalac epoxy as there would be packaging and distribution of liquid products from this facility.

Once the floor was turned over, the owners were very excited to have gotten the epoxy floors austin they had envisioned. Not only was the floor beautiful and easy to clean, but also the maintenance over time will be significantly less than some other commercial flooring alternatives.
