After the owners had decided on an epoxy floor finish, Allstar did multiple samples to get the colors and look they were trying to achieve. The floor had been optioned to receive a final topcoat for additional wear and life expectancy.

Epoxy Floor Abilene – Project Goals & Outcomes

Allstar Concrete Coatings was hired to apply an epoxy floor on a 4000 sq ft assembly building in Abilene, Texas. The floor was first ground for adhesion purposes along with crack repair, followed by an application of an epoxy primer coat. Cracks were then treated and filled with a trowel-able epoxy mixture and then sanded to leave a smooth surface. A light gray color was chosen to create a cleaner-looking environment, achieving a durable and functional epoxy concrete floor. A polyurethane topcoat was used for better chemical resistance and longevity.
